Medical goods store Medivac is preparing to file for bankruptcy protection, its largest creditor filing on Thursday.
The company, which makes medical supplies and equipment to hospitals, has filed for Chapter 11 protection in Delaware and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware, according to a filing in Delaware.
Medivacs medical supplies company, Medivast, filed for bankruptcy in August 2016 after a year of bankruptcy protection.
The filing came days after Medivax Inc., the second-largest medical supplies manufacturer, said it was filing for Chapter 9 bankruptcy protection after a $25 million settlement with the government over a health care fraud case.
The deal included a promise to repay the government $2.4 billion, which it said would be used to fund its $4 billion purchase of the company.
