A new company, Medical Extrusion, is offering medical extruders to anyone who wants to be able to get rid of their plastic surgery scars.
The company has launched a new app that lets users scan and print their scars for an extra fee.
The app, Medical Extrusion, will be available in Canada in the next few weeks, and will let users print out their scars with the help of a printer or a laser printer.
“Our goal is to help the world heal, not replace it,” Medical Exterution CEO and co-founder Josh Tannock said in a statement.
“We have no intention of replacing what we do, but our mission is to create a world where the human body is used for more than its original purpose.”
Medical Extrinutors have been around for a while, but now they’re getting some attention from the medical community.
A study published in The Journal of Plastic Surgery in March found that an average of 1.2 million Americans suffer from scars that could be cured with medical extruding.
Some doctors are skeptical of the technology, however, because it’s not yet proven that it’s more effective than traditional surgical procedures.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is also weighing whether to regulate the use of medical extrudes for cosmetic purposes.
Tannocks said that his company wants to put itself in a position to help improve the quality of life for patients.
He said that he’s hoping to use the medical extruder technology to improve cosmetic surgeries for people with scars.
“I believe that it will eventually help save the lives of people who have had surgeries that are not cosmetic, because when you look at what a surgeon can do with a scar, that’s the most basic thing you can do,” Tannoo said.
The surgeon in question could be a family member or a doctor, who can help remove the scar with the aid of a laser or a printer.
Medical Exporters are already using the technology to help people who can’t afford surgery.
They’re offering laser treatments, and the company is also offering a medical extruded tattoo.
In a press release, MedicalExporter.ca said that it hopes to expand its business to include cosmetic surgery, cosmetic procedures, and even cosmetic surgery to a wider audience.
